I am an ambitious 20 yr old with a curiosity of the world around me. Marketing, advertising, and public speaking are some of my passions along with playing music and singing. Growing up in Grand Rapids, MI I’ve always loved my hometown. From ArtPrize, to the great restaurants, to various coffee shops (the Lantern being one of my particular favorites), to the beaches of Grand Haven and Holland, there is always an adventure waiting around the corner. I have been a worship leader for my local church, Resurrection Life for going on 4 years now. I also began video announcing for them this year. Check it out!
As the typical college student trying to figure out what their exact purpose is, I have enjoyed working in various different fields. Freshman year of attending Grand Valley State University I worked for large events and festivals like Big Ticket, Unity and Rock & Worship Roadshow with radio station 91.1 KGPfm. With this station I had the opportunity to interview artists like Mandisa, Jason Castro, Needtobreathe, Matthew West, and much more! Some of the funniest highlights were getting the opportunity to sing a duet with Dave of Sidewalk Prophets or goofing around making videos with Jason Dunn of Hawk Nelson. My sophomore year of college I began writing for Women’s Lifestyle Magazine articles like The Cheese Lady. Currently, starting my junior year, I am working as a contract employee for Steelcase Inc. doing digital marketing and advertising for their online store team. This consists of work like creating campaigns, promotions as well as working on other various projects. Sometime I wish we didn’t require sleep, there’s so much I want to do and experience! As for now, I’m dreaming big as doors open along the way.
In my spare time I love to play my keyboard and sing! I had the opportunity to release my first single this year on iTunes. Connect with me at www.facebook.com/kristenkingmusic or take a listen through iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/album/best-me-feat.-jacob-rye-mark/id703589920
Again, I love the opportunity to meet new people so don’t be shy to reach out. If you mention anything coffee related, now we’re talking! Other ways to connect with me are through Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram.
